This is the best chicken place around. A must every time we come to town to visit family. We make a point of it. Try it and so will you. Everything is amazing. Our favorites are of course the chicken and the Mac and cheese, the jalapeno corn, the baked beans, the cobbler and the banana pudding.

Low key the best hot chicken 🐓 place I’ve ever had says my 16 yr old. Love the atmosphere, design and service. Will definitely make the trip to Lakeland from Naples for more chicken. 🍗

Nothing else to describe this place but amazing! I’ve had fried chicken tenders on other visits, but today had grilled medium heat for the first time. Perfect seasoning and flavor and the buttermilk dill ranch was awesome as well! The tomato cucumber onion salad was next level! I wanted to order a huge side to take home with me. I ordered the “this girl ain’t hungry” that comes with one tender, a side and a drink.

Food is absolutely fabulous! Service was fast and friendly. Definitely an elevated chicken sandwich. Restaurant is clean and organized with seating indoors and out. The indoor seating area is a smaller area. Will definitely be back, food is delicious!!

Our first time here and ill say We didn't know what to expect. The food was amazing. I ordered the Godfeather and was surprised at how good it was. I also ordered collard greens and dirty fries. That were also good. My kids ordered their fried tenders, gouda Mac and fries. My kids exact words were we are in heaven. The food is def worth going for. We live about an hour away and will def be coming back.

This is THE place! Don't get intimidated hy the lines, the move fast and the food is off the chain and the flavors will stay with you after you've gone, especially if you try the WHY level of heat. You're in the south, do it! ...just get some smoky BBQ sauce and the gouda mac and cheese side to help soften the blow for your tastebuds.

Their Carolina Reaper chicken is next-level fire—packed with intense heat, but balanced perfectly with incredible flavor. The two juicy chicken tenders are cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. They’re nestled on a fresh bun that’s light and soft, making every bite a perfect combination of heat and crunch. My wife and I stopped by Love Bird at 2101 Florida Ave S in Lakeland, for a late lunch, and it was perfect timing. It was 2:00 p.m. and there was no wait to order and our food arrived fast! My wife ordered her favorite, the Southern Classic Salad, which is 2 citrus grilled chicken tenders on a bed of lettuce with a scoop of house-made guac, sliced egg, bacon, tomatoes, red onion, smoked gouda, cilantro corn, croutons and a citrus vinaigrette dressing. It was delicious as usual and a huge portion! She ended up taking half of it home for later. I went with the 2-piece Perfectly Fried Tenders, medium heat with sides of So Gouda Mac and Bourbon Baked Beans. The chicken pieces were quite large and were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat. The pieces were served on a piece of white bread with a pickle on top! The fried chicken is so good that I could eat here every day! We were both stuffed, so we skipped the Peach Cobbler and Banana pudding this time. It was a beautiful day, so we ate our lunch outside on the patio, entertained by the great 80’s music and occasional police siren (since Florida Ave is a busy street). All in all, we had a fantastic time and will be coming back again soon! We both highly recommend Love Bird!

This is one of the easiest 5 stars I’ve ever given - I didn’t hesitate for a single second giving 5 stars cause it just feels obvious they should have 5 stars. The people working there seem genuinely content and happy to work there - their customer service was awesome. The food came out quickly and was just as awesome with the chicken living up to the hype I’d heard about this location. I definitely wish they’d open up a second location in Highlands because I’d be there all the time I’m not even kidding lol. Their merch is super cool too and I bought two of their shirts. The aesthetic is kind of like a dive bar but for the day time and so still friendly and open - also very clean and well kept. Their sandwiches are a big portion so I was able to eat the second half later, so I feel like I got a good amount of food for what we paid. Definitely stop here and try their chicken sandwiches and grab yourself a shirt!

My family drives an hour and a half for this chicken. Most places fry bland chicken, leaning on the crutch of tacky little sauce cups to salvage the day on flavor. Apparently, LoveBird decides each morning that guests deserve chicken that stands on its own without any sauce. You'll see the hilarious irony in that when you try their bomb, in-house sauce lineup. It spits in the face of your usual mayo-cajun NPCs. Virgil saw me taking a box to go for my wife tonight. When he heard how far we were driving, he gave my daughter a sick gift and spent a few minutes getting to know us a little. Solid vibes. Now, the chicken. Huge, juicy tenderloins. Brined right, battered light, and double crispy = flavor staring on the inside, capturing you again on the outside. I ate half of my meal with no sauce, and only had the sauces to enjoy each one "for the data." Sweet tea = no notes. Only our respect. The So Goudah Mac is all in the name. Stand up, and get over there now.
